Flowers & Nerds

This is a very random post.

Nevertheless, I need a little break from packing and getting ready for our trip to Newport Beach, CA. We leave on Monday for a full week. This is our fourth year to go for Jason's National ALS conference. It is such a dream vacation for me: warm weather, fabulous hotel, two pools, two miles from the ocean, sushi, sunshine. Need I say more? And now this year I finally get to tote a baby along with me while Jason is in his meetings. I have dreamed of this for the last three years!

Well, back to the random post.

Randomness #1: During the week between Christmas and New Years, Kate dropped three fourths of her children off at my house while she got groceries with Brady. Evidently while they were grocery shopping Brady begged his mom to get flowers for his Aunt Nen. Kate finally said yes, and so here are the beautiful flowers my sweet, sweet, seven-year old nephew, Brady, brought me.
I nearly cried.

Several times since we have adopted Abram, I have said to Brady, "You know you were my first baby boy, don't you?!"
Randomness #2: This is how Jason and I spent a good portion of New Year's Day . . .
Oh yeah . . . organizing the files, baby! We are both big nerds . . . and we know it.

Not only did we organize, but we purged. Big time. Here are all of the manila folders that are no longer in existence in our household. WOO HOO!
This was our second trash can full of trash. Not to mention the shred pile.

I love how much you love your nieces and nephews and it is obvious how much they love you! Abram is so blessed to have such a great mommy too:)(and yes I think organizing your files on New Years Day and enjoying it would classify you as nerds:)
