I love the African culture that resides in our home . . . Out of nowhere yesterday morning Isaiah brought me his blanket and monkey and showed me that he wanted me to strap his monkey on his back.
Abram, of course, had to get in on the action.
Isaiah even ate breakfast with his monkey on his back.
When it is the last hour before Jason gets home and I'm making dinner . . . I tend to be a little more lenient about a few things . . . .like the boys playing on the table!
And wanting to take off their clothes and run around "naked."
Usually I sit down with the rest of the fam when we read books, the Bible and pray before bed. But, for some reason last night I was doing something when Jason started. When I walked in to this sight (which is what it looks like every night, just with me in there!), I had to turn around and go get my camera.
Since I happened to have my camera, I snuck this picture after Claire layed her head on my leg. This seems like such a tiny, unimportant thing. . . but when you are working from zero attachment upward, little tiny things like this are a BIG deal. It made my heart very happy!
Unbeknownst to me, the girls made the boys's beds this morning. And again, put me to shame in the precise way they did it!

Love the pics! That is wonderful!
Fun pictures, Jen. It made my heart happy, too. :)
Love! It is really great to see your life in pictures :)
I've been faithfully reading your blog and love observing the growth. I had this thought about the bed-making: 'It's just an example of how much the girls love you.' I imagine that acts of service like this is one way that they are trying to show their love and appreciation for all you & Jason do for/have given them. :)
